egg question

ajfreptiles Jun 16, 2011 03:07 PM

I have about 15 days till expected hatch based on 60 days at 89F
The eggs just started dimpleing...is that a good sign or does that meen they need more humidity? they look great other than the dimple in each now.

Right on schedule! If it gives you piece of mind, mist the substrate! You should be fine though!

you should be good to go! around this time you should start to see more condensation on the lid and sides of the tub and the eggshell should start to feel a bit rubbery.

post pics when they hatch!

we cannot tell....

there is dimpling, denting and flat out deflating....

I have had ball eggs hatch in all three conditions...

if they deflated like 10 % ...no worry...50%...ouch...

.....mist a little around the edges of the clutch if you like...not the eggs...

that's nothing...they should do ok...

a friend gave me eggs that sat for a week in mother's cage without water at all.....she squished them flat...halfway deflated almost but not quite.....they all hatched....babies were normal sized.....
