The colors and names of the colors are just descriptions breeders give to their dragons and or their particular line. It really doesn't mean anything except that line or color displays particular traits.

Example. A white/grey/silver dragon could be called a Snow, a Hypo, or a Hypo/Snow dragon. It all basically means the same thing most of the time. (yes i know the "hypo" can be hereditary i am keeping it simple).

Same thing is true with a Red x Orange dragon. All that means is one parent was a red or reddish color and another parent was an orange color. Thus the babies produced are red x orange dragons. Their colors could be different.. some may be red, some may be orange, some may be yellow. All depends on how that particular dragon turns out.

Breeders often just lable their lines and colors for various reasons, but in reality it doesn't mean anything except to help identify where a certain dragon came from.

For example most people associate "blood dragons" with red dragons from Dragons Den Herp. We call a certain particular trait of our dragons "Orange Snow" because of the way they come out.. but it is just a fancy name to describe them.

There are a ton of different colors out there each one is cool. I am sorry I don't know of any sites that offer info on this, i'm sure someone else does.. but maybe that info helps you out some.
