Taking Bets: Will this egg survive???

reidbeg Jun 16, 2011 10:17 PM

This is a Pied breed to a het Pied female clutch. 5 eggs total, 1 slug, 3 crappy looking eggs, and 1 boob egg.

The clutch is right around 30 days old and the boob egg has started to mold a bit, but still has great vein structure and still glows pink.

The question is, will this egg survive???

I have my thoughts, but I'm leaving it up for you all to decide.
Thanks,

Yeah that will hatch perfectly, we have an egg hatching right now that has a bigger "boob" and the little one is 100% perfect! It has a tiny Spinnerblast Het Hypo hatching from it!

Yes, in my experience, it should. Never underestimate a "boob", LMBO!

Yeah, at first I only saw about 1 vein and its glow was on the yellow side but about 2 weeks later the veins filled in and the egg looked like it would make it.

I agree, I think it will definitely hatch out. Good to hear I'm not alone.

I will post the results of the clutch later on.

Thanks for looking.

Yes....SHOULD be fine. That being said, any egg has the chance to go even full term and die...obviously....but the eggs condition won't effect the outcome. Keep us up to date on the little guy! Good luck with the entire clutch!
