I need to see if anyone has the dimension for a 6' trough. I just need the top dimension to fabricate the top before I get it. Basically just the width and the length. Exact as possible please. Thanks for your time.

Troughs are not made to specific dimensions, they are abouts/approx.
Usually the manufacturer will make 3 different sizes, so they can stack inside each other, but not always.
About 6x2 or 6x3 depending on which you bought. I think you need to wait to cut it, it would suck to have it cut too small, and find out afterwards. They are a pain, because they are not always straight either. But I guess normal people use them to hold water for horses and cows and don't need or care about exacts.

Man, those people are wierd.
.
Thanks Robert. I began to think the same thing shorly after I posted it. I remeber when I went to get rough extimates for door purposes they did tend to vary a little from the size that they were supposed to be. Thanks again.
Just buy the trough and then measure it accordingly. If your intent on buying a 6 foot trough and thats what you need and want, then get it and measure it after you get it. That way you will be able to enclose it properly. Measuring and getting everything perfect is always the toughest part of part of cutting wood for me.
