Treating a minor bite

SKY_NAS Sep 29, 2003 11:21 PM

I always hear of males biting females while breeding. Well, my female has bit my male on the side of the mouth. (Yes I removed her to her own cage) My concern is he seems to have a small scab on his mouth. It is not bothering his eating, or seeming to cause him any pain and I am watching it for signs of swelling or infection. Is there anything I can do for him to make this heal faster?
I don't understand her sudden change of attitude. the lady at the beardie rescue told me that these two were almost inseparable for several months, and they were fine in their enclosure together here for more than a month, all of a sudden she acts all aggressive to him, bites him and then puts her butt in his face like a brazen hussy!
Frustrated!

I would cleanse the wound with a mild soap & water, & apply Neosporin or other antibiotic cream to it. If it starts swelling or oozing, I'd take him to a herp vet.
