Followup on Honduran Milksnake (that wouldn't eat)

snakeguyVicBC Sep 30, 2003 01:37 AM

I was on about this time last week asking for advice on feeding this Honduran I have. Ive tried everything you guys have mentioned and even more. Thanks for all the help and ideas for next time I come across the issue. The breeder (of my snake in which i got ahold of) gave me a few ideas and never worked either. He is going to let me change it in for another snake. He told me that this tangerine was the most aggresive eater at the time he sold it to my store.

Anyway, the next question I have is... I bought this tangerine from the breeder @ $80.00 (CDN funds) He is offering me the same species, or a pueblan, and there were a few other species which I dont remmeber. What would the difference be in temperment, size, would this be a good idea. Is the pueblan a more or lesser costly snake? anyone know.
And... the last thing is... What other snake(s) could I mix with either one of these 2 that would be able to produce some offspring.
Eg. tricolor w/ tangerine hondurans

As far as value goes, a normal phase Honduran and a normal phase Pueblan would be about the same price. Temperment-wise, the Hondurans seem to be alot more tolerant animal while the Pueblans are more "flighty", especially the young snakes. The Hondurans also tend to be a bigger snake. BTW, I have 4 of each.
