>>It's amazing what people will do for a few extra bucks. Just about every boa I've bought was really unhealthy, which says alot about the characters of the breeders that it's all about the money not the animals. I think it's unfortunate that's happening to you Spencer and hopefully you can let me know who these sellers are for future reference.

Jeremy,
You might want to consider doing a little more homework in the future and/or changing the reason you buy something.
There are a LOT of excellent, reputable people in the boa industry. To consistently find those that are selling sick snakes certainly illuminates the fact that there are still too many "bad guys", but it also uncovers the fact that you're not asking enough questions. Any seller should be willing and able to offer up NUMEROUS recommendations, a knowledge of the animal they're selling (history, health, feeding and shedding habits, captive care requirements for the (sub)species, etc.), etc., and not shy away from that one bit.
It sounds like the folks you're buying from are staying in business because of a factor that is not related to the health and well being of their animals... like... price - or something else that after 15-20 years with the animal, simply doesn't matter.
So again, I'd recommend reevaluating why you buy, and who you buy from. If you do so, you'll likely find that your next animal is healthier than any other you've ever purchased.
