Questions about my new cornsnake!

That's my new snake. The store I bought him/her from said the snake is about a month old. He's very thin. I just got today so I haven't tried feeding him. Should I try feeding him a small pinkie? I feel like it'd be too big for him/her. Should I cut it in half or something? And when should I feed him? Tonights his first night. One more question haha sorry, what type of corn snake would he/she be?

Its hard to tell the size from that pic with nothing to compare it to, but a pinky will be fine for it. Even the smallest baby corn snakes can eat a small pinky. This is one of my hatchling from a few years ago eating a pinky at just a few days old.

I recommend Kathy Love's book: Corn Snakes: The Comprehensive Owner's Guide.

That looks like a normal Corn Snake to me (not a morph). Corn Snakes typically hatch in July, so I doubt it's a month old - it looks more like one of last year's babies.

I recommend getting a book if you are going to keep a Corn Snake. Like Mr. Kent said, Kathy Love has wriiten an excellent book - so has Don Soderberg. They are inexpensive and contain most (if not all) of the information you need.
