DESERT CINNY - "i think..."

paulbuckley Jun 26, 2011 12:30 PM

from a black back cinny mated to a desert male and calico male. 7 slugs, one good egg, so i have no siblings to compare it to. this female has thrown light offspring before, but never this light - and the coloring has always been consistent, whereas this has more of a two-tone paint job with light up top and orange on the sides. anyway it seems to me about how i thought a desert cinny would look. i'll know better after a shed or two.

does anyone out there have pics of desert cinnies? i'd love to compare... thanks.

I would be willing to bet that that is a desert cinny...as clean as it is.....just something about it.....whatever it is, it is REALLY nice.......SUPER clean.......nice odds if it is a desert cinny......

thanks jason.

actually, i just found out for sure that it is a desert cinny. my wife pointed out that the eyes are not black like a normal cinny, but have a bluish silver upper half where the face stripe goes by. the shots i posted today are pretty terrible. once he sheds i'll put a bit more effort into it and put up better shots.

the fact that it's a male made the odds on that one single egg all that much better!

It's a good looking snake whatever it is - I don't think the blue stripe is indicative of anything - my cinnys come out with blue stripe eyes as well. Congrats.
