Good old-fashioned tangerine

robhaneisen Jun 28, 2011 03:40 PM

I got this 2009 girl as hatchling from Dell. Boy has she gotten big. At 22 months she is already over 450 grams and over 4 feet and has stayed super bright.

And here's a bonus: I used her as a model for my Reptiles magazine article coming out in the Sept. 2011 issue (I already have an advance copy) about disaster preparedness for reptile keepers. In that picture she is about 6 months old so you can see the amount of growth she has added.

This is from Dell's 'het fur nuthin'" line. Don't know if I'm going to breed her next year to a male tangerine or breed her with my giant tangerine albino male to do some outcrossing.

Very nice!

Yes, I certainly remember that one Dell had. It sure has grown quit a bit! I believe that originates from "Vivid's" old-school hondurensis bloodline, correct? Heck, there are only maybe three authentic "het for nothin" bloodlines that I know of any more.

...when are you going to share your recipe for phenomenal growth?

Rob,

that is an awesome animal! I almost got some of those het for nothings from Dell and sometimes I regret not doing so!

Looking forward to your article too!
