Ghost Motley,Hypo Motley, and a ? Motley

newworldmorphs Jul 02, 2011 12:34 PM

Sorry to keep putting stuff up here and asking for opinions, but I am trying to get an idea of what this lil guy is. I have Normal,Hypo,Anery,Ghost Motleys...most are pretty clear to determine ( though the Anerys vs Normals are the toughest!!) Then there is THIS one!!??

I have posted comparison pics that hopefully help form an opinion

Thanks Everybody, seriously!!

FATHER

HYPO

GHOST

THE ONE IN QUESTION...?

It isn't as red/brown as the Hypo Normals or the Hypo Motleys, the only real red/brown is faint on its head spear( but even his father has that and he is a normal dh snow) and fading in from the gray on its tail stripe. The rest of the body is shades of grey. Even the lateral striping is grey. Just don't want to mislabel!! Opinions?

Thanks again
jamess

It's a Hypo Motley.

Based on the tail color I agree with Ruben, it is a hypo motley.

I'm sure the body color will change after a couple of sheds.

I got one that I can't figure out too. It is a hypo, but I can't
tell if it is an arabesque or not. Maybe I'll post a pic in few
days. They just ate yesterday I don't want to disturb them yet.

I have had 2 litters now of Anery Motley and I agree they are really hard to pick out at first.
Usually after the first shed it becomes more apparent tho the Anery Mots are never as light grey as the regular Aneries but rather more of a dark charcoal tail color

yes, exxactlyyyyyy what I am thinking/ experiencing!! They have shed , but only once after birth. All are eating so I will wait till the shed afterwards. I thought I had it figured out, then took the father out ( normal dh snow) and changed my mind on two anerys and put them in the normal pile. Its definitely going to be nice to get more experience with figuring out these genes!!! Thanks for your input!!! I don't feel completely crazy now
