Desert Cinny post shed

paulbuckley Jul 06, 2011 03:33 PM

i googled the heck out of this combo and found desert black pastel - but not cinny. so i think i have naming rights... but anything i think of comes out sounding like a bad romance novel, so if anyone has any ideas?

otherwise, desert cinny is what it is.

thanks for looking!

From Wikipedia on Cinnamon:
"Arab traders brought the spice via overland trade routes to Alexandria in Egypt..."

Desert...Cinnamon...Africa... Call it the Alexandria?

It is a beauty, whatever you call it!

'Cinnamon Dessert'

It DOES look good enough to eat!

Congrats on the new combo. Nice and clean!
Gotta love how the Desert gene cleans things up and tweaks the pattern just a bit.

Thanks for sharing!

BB

PS: I'd most likely propose the same for numerous 'FoodName Morph' X Desert combos.

Butter Dessert
Candy Dessert
Caramel Dessert
Chocolate Dessert
Toffee Dessert
..........and on and on!

Thats what I would name it.

Looks AWESOME! Nice work.

BuzzardBall Jul 06, 2011 05:09 PM

Better yet, "Cinny Sand"!

Albey Jul 06, 2011 04:53 PM

That is an incredible looking animal, congratulations! I hope you just name it what it is though. I produced the first Sterling Yellow Belly and I named it a Sterling Yellow Belly. If the Sterling hadn’t already been named I would have named it a Super Pastel Cinnamon Yellow Belly. I produced the first Super Pastel Mojave Yellow Belly and named it a Super Pastel Mojave Yellow Belly. Come on man join the no names club.

Most of the designer morph names out there are either confusing or do not properly describe the appearance of the animal, while the remaining designer morph names are just stupid.

Congrats on a first....call it a Desert Cinny...

paulbuckley Jul 07, 2011 07:33 AM

considered "cinnabun ball" - great louis c. k. bit... cinny on sides, frosting on top... but snakes as desserts i'm not so sure about that... ?

unless folks dig cinnabun, desert cinny it is.

MMPythons Jul 08, 2011 01:01 PM

I was thinking Cinnabun when I looked at it too.

pfan151 Jul 07, 2011 08:09 AM

Would make things MUCH less confusing.

Albey,
I agree the names get very confusing. It started when cinniamons and black pastels were first named and had pastel for a last name.

But, If I hatch anything that is just "Too Cool" I might name it "The Albey".
How is everything? See you in Daytona.

garweft Jul 06, 2011 10:32 PM

Wait,......

Darn, all the good names are already taken. I vote cinnamon desert or maybe desert cinnamon.

EmberBall Jul 06, 2011 10:57 PM

That is really nice looking. Great contrast.

Great looking snake. One of my favorite Desert combos.

Holloway Jul 07, 2011 08:39 AM

While I agree that we don't need to make names for 2 or 3 or evan 4 gene animals but at some point ,we almost have to name them . A quad gene X a different quad gene animal could produce a new morph that ,I my self, would hate to call it what it was !! That is a great looking combo--- Congrats

Beautiful snake and desert cinnamon is a great name. Names usually just make it to darn confusing.

Hello everyone...

First of all... congrats to Paul Buckley for producing one of these... they are AMAZING!!!

Second of all... I'm not here to bicker over naming rights but I've always been partial to a snake named after its genetic components. Last year when we marketed the one male that we produced we thought about a name and listed it as a Desert Cinnamon.

If you'd like to name it then please feel free but I guess I just don't think something clever is the best for these things sometimes.

The male we produced is in shed but I will try to get a pic of him once he is done. He's probably about 600 grams too so you guys can see what Paul has to look forward to.

Sorry for not posting the project when we first saw it... Someone may have a photo because we had the animal for sale in Tinley Park last October...

hey sean sorry about that. i googled the hell out of this combo and found nothing. which surprised me, but i found nada other than the desert black pastel... and these not seen before combos usually pop up somewhere.

i'd love to see how they age. and sorry again for muscling in.

i guess this is a bit of a lesson though... just cause google shows nothing, doesn't mean it's not out there.

Exotics by nature Jul 07, 2011 04:43 PM

Paul,

Again... congrats! I say that we think we hatched it first! In my past experience, anytime I've hatched something awesome and amazing and NEW... The Bells already have a grown adult! LOL

So if you want to name it... do it! I won't mind the "muscling" nearly as much as I'll mind a name other than Albino Cinnamon. HAHA

Man this is a fun game and I know what its like to hatch something new and cool! You'll be proud of what that Desert Cinny grows up to!! Damn it... congrats AGAIN!!!
