annulata hatchlings

Dniles Jul 06, 2011 08:04 PM

Here are some pinner annulata I recently hatched out. Amazingly they all have perfect banding and have orange neck bands which usually means they will turn a deep tangerine in the middle band of their triads. They really hatched out huge this year

Dam and clutch

Here they are

#1 Male

#2 Female

#3 Male

and here is #3 in hand to show you how huge these hatched out!

Wow, stunners. Honestly, really nice. Any hold backs or are they all going up for sale once they are eating?

Did you incubate them at lower temps than before?

Just curious...

Thanks,
Rusty

Hey Rusty,

I did incubate around 78 degrees this year where as in the past it may have been 79-80 so slightly lower. But the eggs that were laid were simply larger than last year too. I attribute that to the size and weight on the female during the breeding season but who knows.
