Drinking From a Water Dish

BeArDyCrAzY May 26, 2003 08:27 PM

It doesn't seem like my beardy is drinking from her water dish. I give her drinks using my mister and placing droplets of water on the tip of her mouth and she drinks that. Is there something i can do to get her to drink from her water dish?? Thnx in advance

Misting, soaking, and good veggies are really all the sources of water that you need for your dragon. I have never used a water bowl with any dragon. Daily misting, a weekly soak, and leafy veggies regularly are all good ways for them to get their water. Chris

Get a spray bottle and start to mist the Dragon until the water starts to run off it then you will see the Dragon lower it's head, droplets then reach the mouth. You will see the Dragon start to lick all the water droplets around the mouth area. Then take a small cup of water and slowly poor it from a high level into the water bowl making splashing sounds. After a few times the Dragon will now the water bowl has water in it. That is how I got Red to drink from his bowl. I still do the cup thing because i like to KNOW he is getting water on a weekly basis.
