Off Topic _ Last Shuttle Launch

RG Jul 08, 2011 08:36 PM

I was very lucky to get to watch our last Space Shuttle launch today.

I know it makes sense to cut back on high dollar programs when our economy isn't doing well...but it's still VERY sad day.

We won't have a manned space program for the first time in 50 years.

Hope you all enjoy the pics...

Very cool photos Rusty!

I was really annoyed with myself because I forgot it was supposed to take place today and wanted to see it this time too.

Oh well, I at least have many pics and videos of previous launches from my place, as well as the park across the Cape Canaveral inlet. Would have been cool to see this last one though...*sigh*

A milk to stay in proper theme..LOL!

One of the het hypo/amel, poss. het anery from the "mega" hypo line I got from you. They are really taking off nice, as is the little hybino/het anery!

Thanks for sharinsg Rusty.

I was lucky enough to see one take off back in '89 while on spring break. Very impressive, and very sad it is coming to an end with all the history both good and bad...
