Finally hatchlings

draybar Jul 09, 2011 10:04 AM

First two clutches of the season are hatching..
I have a cluth of cinnamons (emoryi/corns expressing hypomelanism)hatching and a clutch of creamsicles (emoryi/corns expressing amelanism) hatching.
Earlier I had posted about the death of the female cinnamon who laid this clutch.
I bred her to a new male this season, actually one of her sons, and checking the eggs earlier I discovered she had left me a little surprise. I found a newly hatched stripe cinnamon. This obviously means she was het stripe and had passed it along to her son. To some it's just a hybrid or just a stripe but I'm pretty happy, I had planned to work towards stripe cinnamons for years but space and other projects always interrupted those plans.
So, I smile....lol

Very nice. I like the colors on those little guys. Lots of color usually means even nicer as they get bigger!..And congrats on your special stripe surprise! That's great news!

They sure look good Jimmy. Glad you got that little stripe surprise, especially considering your loss.
