Lesser or Pastel Lesser I Need Help!

amos1974 Jul 09, 2011 10:30 AM

Hi I hatched this little girl out in March The mother was a pastel and the father was a lesser platinum. In the clutch i had 4 slugs and 1 small boob egg. The boob egg hatched there was also an undeveloped twin in the egg she came out at 19 grams! She had no yoke in her belly and did not shed I assist fed her a few times then she started eating. After about a month she had her first shed.and now she is a pig! when she was in the egg I thought she was a pastel lesser but when she came out she was darker than I expected. now she is up to 200 grams she looks different than my other lessers she has no eyes in the alien heads and no gray scales in between them on her sides only yellow! Here are a couple pics of her and one with her and a 2010 lesser female. What do you all think?

Thanks for the help! Jason Amos

Jason,

How are you bud?

I personally don't see anything that would indicate that she is a pastel lesser, but she is one heck of a beautiful lesser.

See you at the shows bud.

It's a nice lesser, no pastel in it though. That's cool she is doing well for you after starting so small!

Lessers are crazy variable, lighter, darker, they can be all over the place.

That is a great looking Lesser, but not Pastel. Congrats either way though!

As others mentionned, it's a lesser.

I have hatched lesser that are like that or even lighter but no pastel in it.
