Boy am I done with recessives

royalmorphz Jul 09, 2011 06:05 PM

I have a pied group I am just done with. I think I am getting tired of BP's in general mainly because of my recessive groups. I have Pieds and Albinos.

Just a rant and its over.

Feel free to pack up those pieds and just send em my way. You'll never have to see them again.
(As long as you don't open any more of my posts)

I love recessives, pieds and albinos have been great to me. I have lots, safety in numbers. You have to have patience with recessives to build up a group, but after that it is very steady.

I agree.....made alot of pieds and amels here also....since 2003 I think?.....
what's the trouble???.....
and if it's odds...you can have bad odds with co-doms
also...maybe even worse than with recessives....

balls....try making money breeding corns?....kings?....milksnakes?........anything.....rats and mice then?....wait...they are the same price now that they were in 1991....how can we make money with them?...

.......try hobbies like golf, fishing and hunting,,,,no money there either.....

....and I don't even have "lots" compared to most. Pieds have done very well for me since 2003 or 2004...so well I can't remember the year. I have two 2010 girls that will be ready this year. Not even a year old and eating med rats like candy. Still my favorite morph to this day.

Recessive Ball Pythons is the only reason I enjoy breeding them. Funny how you hate them and I love them. That is the nice thing about breeding....Something for everyone. I do feel your pain. Sucks when you hope for something and it comes out totally opposite.

Bill

I think Recessives are great, never bought an albino, axanthic, pied or hypo (bought hypo combos after I produced my own hypo females). Now I have all including a snow. This year my pied project paid off, from 2 male hets, I now have pieds pos het albino and albinos pos het pied, my axanthics will be worked in next year and my big goal is a snow pied. Lots of work and time? Yes but defiantly worth it.

?? I think recessive is the way to go ?? Hey ,last year ,I had real bad luck with the odds and this the odds have been awesome . It's all a big gamble but that's part of the fun.

As long as these keep crawling out of my eggs, I'll keep working with recessives!

Milkman2= I also want snow/pieds. I should have triple hets and/or VPI Ax double het for Albino Pied this year. There is a big difference in the two types of white, I think it would be awesome looking .
