This was found this year in Southern CA by a fellow fieldherper. Notice how the one being eaten is considerably smaller. I think that's more likely to happen than both being the same size, but that's just my opinion. I would have rather linked it but I think that's against the rules here.

C'mon Ross!, there's a very easy explanation for that.

There was nobody there to SHOW them how the bonding process was "supposed" to be done..

And that is why I never put a little one in with a big one. Everybody has to be the same size. I watched one of my juvenile pyros eat a skink, a very snakelike lizard. She was fed the lizard because she had been missing to many feedings and i wanted to give her a boost with something she was hardwired to eat. Worked great, got her back to a regular intake of pinks. My point here is that the way she threw loops around the skink and devoured it was a good example of their ancient hardwired behavior. One must take extreme care when handling live fire arms (co-habitating kings)
I can see how other keepers would not want to take the chance in the first place.

This is easily explainable. Just like the thread above this where Mike Fedzen wants to put to adults together mid summer.

Those kings must have come acrss each other in the wild and did not know each other.

Bonding is putting two young snakes (I do it with yearlings) together and NOT in the SUMMER.

Com'n guys. You should know better after all these posts on bonding.

I have nothing against people keeping their snakes seperate. Just people who say that bonded snakes will eat each other.

There are many ways to keep reptiles alive and healthy. But , in case you missed it again. THIS IS ABOUT BONDING!!!!

Ok, there's your point. Now start working on how you respond to stuff. You always come out swinging and that's why everyone "attacks" you. If people don't belive you then that's there right. You don't have to prove everything. No one cares what you do. Work on your approach and I bet you won't get the greetings you do now. Rainer, I really am done fighting with you. I haven't been told anything from anyone. I am young but have been doing this for a long time. I'm sure you do everything you say you do. I have way more animals than you and produce way more animals than you. My way is not the only way but it works very well for me and I have a very high success rate. Show me the peer reviewed study you did about snakes being able to bond. Then there is no argument. Until that time its just your opinion. Its right up there with your little buddy's no ssp. theory. Which it is fine to have a opinion but that's not fact. Don't assume you know what I know or how I came to know it. Keep doing what your doing just don't expect everyone to agree or care what you have to say. To me its lazy. Just stop starting fights every time you come on here. I don't need anyone to tell me about you. I just have to read what you wright. Trust me it was a easy opinion to form.

Go look at the first post you ever made to me. You started the fight and anymosity. Now we have a backround. That is why people like you and me carry on our posts and someone new coming in can for an opinion without knowing who/what started it.

So your opinion is flawed. you are stepped into something and made a wrong judgement.You don't know the backround between me and a few people.

So now we have a history. maybe you can respect me and i respect you and not fill this forum with senseless arguements and hate.

doug and i have a truce. But he still makes fun of me when others post anything against me.. Which is the same thing as breaking the truce. So i (in jest rather than spite) sometimes post something when he and Thomas go at it. but he knows it is not serious. Sometimes it is in fun. Sometimes it gets way to serious and crosses some serious personal lines.

Anyway, i hope we can keep it civial and freindly and respect what we have to say. i won't tag onto someone else when they post something negative about you and you do the same.

This is a discussion board nd as much as you think you know me, you don't know how much i wish these characters are gone just so we can have fun discussions. And there were periods of time on this forum where it was a lot of fun. Then it only takes one or two people. Those people, when they show up. is obvios what they want. They like to fight and create anymosity either because they don't know how to function in a social setting or because they like to stir controversy.

i hope you are not one of those people. i don't know you well enough except when you first posted here.

Cudos to your large collection. You probably do have more adult breeders than me right now. i cut things in half since last season because i choose to work with just higher end Floridas and get rid of the more common morphs..

besides i have posted probably a thousand pics over the years i have posted on here. many of which are bonded snakes in their units.

If i post a pic of my snakes in a cage all the naysayers will say is I threw them in a cage for the pic.
