Just so you'll know this reply is not really directed at you, FR or anyone else on the pro "bonding" side of this issue... both camps are equally to blame for the degeneration of what could be an interesting topic into a pointless brouhaha.

Gerry,
When i first posted this a few months ago it was worse. i should look up the posts and paste them here. The first replies to my keeping the snakes was as expected. But after about 2 months, I dropped an informational bomb and said they SHARE their food. That is when the real nasty replies started. Basically everyone called me a liar. So now at least it has progressed and got a bit better where they are not calling me a liar, but saying that maybe it works for me and my snakes...LOL! hey that is progression, right? LOL!
Honestly, if you look at the early posts and try understand all i did was report that I have been bonding Florida kings for years and they share their food and don't eat each other. i never said my way was the only way. i was just talking about bonding where it was turned into something else. Turned ino attack on my character, my business etc.
Thats how far people will go in this place.
I have been posting here probably as long as or longer than anyone here. I was doing this for years and never brought up what i do for this reason. i knew the few people on this forum who I have had a history of would respond like this. But i went ahead and posted the bonding and communal housing anyway.
my thinking is, why not share this info? And why should I care if it offends. It is the truth. IT is science or ecolgy or whatever you want to call it.. In the long run it will be good for herpetoculture. I just know it takes a few years and then it will be common knowlegde and everyone will accept it just as the sun rises.
I have been around a long time. i have seen this type of reaction before. And i will bve around later when those that reacted poorly will wish they were invisible and want to dissapear. and they will. At least most of them.
