Asperger's and Reptile Keeping

A thread about Asperger's and the keeping of reptiles, a very common hobby amongst high functioning Asperger's folks.

I got a 30 on this test. Would have been a lot higher when I was a kid but I have had 67 years to learn a little bit about social interaction, not that it has ever come naturally to me. I post this just to see if anyone else here might think they fit the criteria for Asperger's.

Please respond politely and avoid the strong temptation to point fingers and say that other guy is bugnutz! LOL!

Keeping cats allows man to cohabitate with tigers. Keeping reptiles allows man to cohabitate with dinosaurs.

Hey Bob, very interesting post! I don't think I am autistic, but I do have OCD traits. I have to be careful not to talk about my snakes too much around my wife and others who are not as interested in them. I get the impression that it can get annoying to them. Maybe that is why I enjoy the forums so much! I can count on the folks here to be interested in what I have to say about snakes.

I might take a look at that test, but I have to go clean cages right now. The mouse cages are getting very stinky!
