sigh...where to begin. Oh yeah. I apparently cannot leave you guys alone for a few days.

I have spent numerous hours trying to clean up this mess that was made. Several dozen posts spanning numerous threads have already been removed and I am not yet done sorting through it all.

Allow me to state that this is an open discussion forum. That means you DISCUSS things. We allow dissent, debate, and disagreement on issues. We welcome people who feel passionately about the subjects under discussion. We have no problem when the members of a community disagree, even when they passionately disagree.

Need I be required to remind folks that even though there is *some* laxity in the enforcement of the terms of service here due to the special nature of this forum, it does not mean that a wholesale free-for-all against one another is allowed. It does not mean you start slinging around profanity (masked or otherwise) or other highly inappropriate comments. It does not mean you selectively ignore the fact that this site has rules that everyone here agreed to follow when they registered with this site.

Now, either as a group, you can start moving discussions back on track or we can start showing people out the proverbial door. Your choice.

I have no excuse. Sorry.

My goodness

You don't seem to be the tower of power that you make out to be.
I guess if there's grown up conversation to be had, then you just don't have much to say.

Sheesh, Steve. The guy apologizes for acting like a jerk and you try and trash-talk to that? Chris may have lost his temper (not hard to see why from what I've read here)...but at least he's man-enough and civil-enough to apologize for it.

In the last discussion you and I had, you were so defensive about how you were never rude or insulting while stating your opinions on the issues. What do you call this???

Unbelievable.....

He was soo rude for soo long that he deserved it, please don't take THIS away from me.

...I had the power to take anything away from you? All I have done was called you on your rudeness. What you or anyone else takes from it is up to the individual.

Judy,

I don't know what you could be taking away from you know who. I'm a little confused as to how he can say I've been sooo rude for so long . Before he entered this discussion, there were already 427 posts regarding the topic that was initiated by Herpco. Not including the deleted posts, there have been 141 since he appeared. Snakefeller and I have not responded to ONE of his posts. How funny is that? The proof is in the puddin'!

DevinP Oct 01, 2003 07:22 PM

He's a penny waiting for change. If he was capable of uttering anything of substance, I would have responded to him, but he doesn't have anything to say, just petty criticisms. This is the bitter guy that claims that when he lived in the US (for seven years) there were homeless people begging on every corner, in every corner store, etc, etc, etc. His sensational exaggerations give him the credence of a cartoon character. Every comment out of his mouth is aimed at insulting America, yet, for some strange reason, he is afraid to be branded "anti-American". He thinks we're too stupid to figure him out, and best part is his persistence to be respected by the people that he trashes.

He's quite melodramatic to say the least. His posts will continue to fall upon deaf ears. His posts are and never will be worthy of response.

DevinP Oct 02, 2003 01:18 PM

Do you believe this guy is accusing us of being "anti-European"? Of all the nerve! We've never said that we are anti-European, we just disagree with just about everything they've said and done with regard to Iraq, so where does he come up with this stuff? We love Europeans just as much as they love us! Why is this guy bent out of shape?

ScottishCLK Oct 02, 2003 03:57 PM

LOL! I agree. Of all the nerve!

steve.AC Oct 02, 2003 10:11 AM

Well, this shows that you cannot and will not ever be able to take criticsm, I said he deserved my reply, and here you all go again exploding like you always do. He did deserve it period.

You think I am grabbing at things to say, but just look at yourselves, sifting through old posts so you can try and make your point.

There isn't one European that you have been in the slightest bit civil to, you seem not to be able to be civil to people from other countries, and doesn't that make you all anti European.

yes it does, some of us Europeans have said again and again that we are not anti American, but you just wont hear it will you.

You love to brand people, and instead of talking in a civil manor, you just get all bent out of shape about anything we might say.

So Far I have said nothing that makes me anti American, but you guys have said plenty to show that you are anti any other country that doesn't agree with yours.

Let me tell you, when I lived in san diego, and worked down town, north park, hilcrest, ocean beach, national city and so on, I was stopped all the time from people asking for money, trying to sell me things, and yes outside most of the stores and the traffic lights were also full of people wanting money, I feel sorry for them, and understand why they either want or need the money. I am not exagerating, just ask anyone who works in those areas. this was not against the USA, I was just stating a fact that I thought your country could try and do something about before it spends all its money on other things.
