coccygeus...
Actually last week we had two exams, one on three weeks worth of anatomical material (thorax, abdomen, pelvis and perineum) and I got a 87% on the practical (cadaver identifications), and 84% on the written (60/70 questions). I never thought I could handle this much material but I am somehow.
To make this post more pertinent, because I will pulling 6-14hr study days I was unable to feed my 8 new additions from this summer (usually takes an hour to feed everyone), so I decided my reward for surviving the exam last friday would be to get right home and feed my babies. God it felt so good to be over with the exam and having 7 out of 8 little guys eat (one b/c shedding soon).
Feeding and handling is a great relaxer, I held my two adults too... My snakes are my salvation next only to my girlfriend (who has been away a lot interviewing for medical school for next fall).
We're on the last unit now, head and neck, the toughest, hardest, longest and most excruciating of all anatomical topics. Sink or swim. I wanted to take some updated pics of my collection this week but we'll see, can't get behind on these cranial nerves...

The girls in the class I used to teach used the ending "Vince Gill's Very Awesome Hinny." Now, needless to say, I've never seen Vince Gill's Hinny nor would I want to or think it was awesome, but once you hear it, it is stuck in your head at least as an after thought. I learned it as a part of the female anatomy, too. To each their oen, I guess.
Here's one for you: What is the only cranial nerve that can directly stimulate a woman sexually? Answer: the hypoglossal. I had to clean it up a bunch for this post, but you get my drift. The original joke named a terchnical term for...well, you figure it out.
The undergrades in my classes sure had a nasty sense of humor.
