tanks enclosed?

setmax7 Sep 30, 2003 01:21 PM

I read somewhere taht the uros tank should be covered on all sides except the front so that they have some privacy? This sounded a little weird to me but it could be right. Anyone have any response to this? Also could you post pics of your enclosures? Thanks.

i think that it depends on your uro, if your uro is used to traffic around the enclosure and feels comfortable with that traffic then glass on all sides would be fine, if your uro is skiddish and dosn't seem to feel comfortable with traffic around the cage you can just place paper or cardboard around several sides of the enclosure, depends on the uro.

I know some people cover the sides in order to try keeping more heat in. Arthur is in a low traffic area with only one side covered (the wall he kept bashing into).

There's been a remodel done recently, but this is arthur's cage. It's an 80 gallon beast. Sorry for the lousy image. You can see Arthur's butt sticking out of the left side of the half log. That's him expressing his opinion of me.
