My First Clutch

ROC Jul 12, 2011 02:38 PM

Finally got my first hog clutch and I am very pleased with them. I proved out a possible het female with an albino male. The female gave me 21 eggs on her very first clutch ever and I got 14 babies from it with 4 albinos. They recently got their first meal and got 12/14 to take unscented thawed pinks. Not sure what the typical rate of unscented vs. scented eaters are but I thought this was pretty good! Enjoy the pics.

Very nice, congrats on your first clutch. How much did the female weigh when you bred her ?

Mark,
Thanks! Didn't write it down but I know she was between 250 and 300 grams and 2.5 years old.
