i still enjoy snakes, seeing what everyone is doing etc., but i can't do the snakes in boxes thing anymore. i knew i was doomed when i stated that my favorite part of the hobby was incubating eggs lol. i would need a "reason" to get back in the game.
but i did take my guys (4, 5 and 6) frog hunting today. they're all good at spotting, we even caught a couple green frogs, struck out on catching a small bullfrog. this is where its at right now. i have never coached them, but they're carrying the torch. they don't remember the "snake room" but they love this stuff. we'll have to see what happens the first time a garter bites one of them or they get musked/pooped on. for now it back to my roots, walking circles around ponds and flipping a/c with my crew. and they think i'm a lot of fun!
