Foxy my russian tortoise has never been the same ever since one of my dogs hurt her. about 2 months ago or probably longer, foxy was attacked by my dog. when should she forget about it? i would like to regain her trust.
how would i do that?

poor foxy, i don't really post about her much, she doesn't really trust me. but i still love her. ( Foxy Was My First Tortoise)

the pic is of foxy a couple of months ago. now she is in a 50 gallon tank.

I don't think all tortoises are comfortable with humans.

I have two leopards from the same clutch. One withdraws when I come close. The other will run to me and let me scratch his head.

I have four russians. The adult male acts all tough with the ladies and will come charging at me if I approach the pen, but as soon as I put my hand near him he closes up. The females are always calm and accept my presence. The hatchling seems completely unimpressed with me.

Maybe, in time, your tortoise will get over it. Treat him well and let time heal the wounds.
