Hondurans hatching!

denbar Jul 16, 2011 01:45 PM

These are from my V.P. tri-color female by Anery het for amel. I posted her pics after she laid a couple months ago. No surprises in this batch. I do want to get a new male so I can produce V.P.'s. However, that said they are healthy and good looking. Got 11 babies, 1 went bad out of 12 eggs.

Nice looking tricolors there Dennis!

You should also get some nice stuff if you breed those sibs back to each other later on, and also one back to the V/P parent.

True enough Doug. I could raise a male up to breed back. Reminds me, that small male that you posted a while back, do you know yet if the female produced good eggs from that union? And, was he a yearling?

If you are referring to the small extreme hypo male that bred the huge Falcon female, She hasn't laid ANYTHING and doesn't look like she will lay at all. This sucks big-time!. He is a fairly small 2009 animal, but compared to the BEHEMOUTH Falcon female he only seems like a yearling..LOL!

The other big disappointment was the same young extreme bred to this nice Bailey ghost female. Out of 8 eggs laid, only two seemed to be good and are now incubating.....geeez!

I have a hold-back 2009 female that was produced from a Falcon male x Bailey ghost female that should breed next year, and I might breed her back to her father since Mike Falcon thinks the sire to this nice male was an extreme.

the young female.......

The 2007 Falcon ghost male that is thought to be from an extreme hypo breeding he did.

Anyway, I can only cross my fingers and pamper the only two eggs that I have so far from an extreme x ghost breeding and hope for the best.

sorry about that. The second pic is the same Falcon Female he was breeding in the first photo.

Here is the Bailey ghost he also bred that had the only two good eggs. Out of the two ghost females, she is by far the most outstanding of the two, so I really hope the two eggs from her hatch okay.

Oh man! That is the one I was referring to. That's too bad. Hope for the best with your two eggs anyway. You really have some incredible ghosts, and extremes.

Thanks Dennis!,....

Yeah, I can only play the cards (eggs) I was dealt this year I guess..LOL!. As everyone here knows, something is always better than nothing.

At least some other things went far better than those particular pairings did..

those are really nice dennis.

we don't see enough tri-colored hondurans in the hobby; but i guess i'm just partial to that classic clean look.

Congrats Dennis...they look the same as a triple het clutch I hatched out a few years ago!

Very cool!
