Just wondering !

Was the first you hatched female or male ?
How many breeding did it took to hit 2 times on the 1/16 ?

I think theses are quite nice, now you need to add another gene to it, may be another recessive :D

I know few would agree with me and high dollar normal looking snakes will be a hard sell but I can't wait to see quadruple hets for sale. If I had a pair of the same double recessive like hypo clown rather than the smart thing of breeding them together to produce entire clutches of hypo clowns I'd trade one for some other double recessive like a snow and make quadruple hets. The variety you would produce with a pair of quadruple hets would be a lifetime of fun.

and a nightmare figuring all the poss. het babies lol. im more than fond of the hypo clowns myself. those guys are smoking. i can only imagine what a 4 trait recessive would do thought, if you hit the .39% chance of all 4 hahahaha what is that 1/264?

my hardest thing to think of would be another double recessive animal that would enhance the hypo clown. ultramel would i think but not sure of another that would not take away from the beauty of that animal. For the life of me I couldn't see how an axanthic would help that, I mean take all that purple and yellow away, WHY??????????

Various Ball Pythons, boas, dogs, cats, fish, a couple sulcatas and a few other odds and ends.

a BAD dog is MADE not bred, support the American Pit Bull Terrier as the greatest breed of dogs on Earth!!!!!

axanthic would enhance the purple but remove the yellow...which i personally dont care for yellow.
another good additive would vanilla. that would be a nice bright effect.

Ok guys ! I was asking the OP but nevermind

I think I would cross that into lesser and caramel.

Or may be mojave instead of lesser. We already know that mojave caramel is nice, also that caramel glow are good, so would a mojave caramel glow clown :D !

I wouldn't be breeding a pair of quadruple hets just to hit the 1 in 256 chance quadruple homozygous; I'd be breeding them for the huge variety in their clutches. Each egg would only have a 1 in 256 chance of being a complete normal (not het for anything). The chances of each egg not being homozygous for at least one mutation would only be about 1 in 3. And the variety of combos you could produce .... In that 3:1 morph to normal clutches you might not produce two of the same morph/morph combo. It will probably take me another 10 years but eventually I'll have to make my own quadruple hets because I'm not sure anyone else would find them as interesting as I do.

Wow, I hope it's a male so you can up your odds next season and start trying to add some other genes into the mix as well. Very beautiful snake, congrats.

I could really use a male hypo clown to prove out the lesser poss het hypo/clown girl you sold me. She is close to 800 grams now. Maybe I'll send her back to you for a visit in a year or so.
