Quick Breeding Question !

SouthFLBoa Jul 18, 2011 04:43 PM

Is it typical to have two females for every one male when breeding? (or do you suppose to have one male for each female?)

I have a 1.2 trio right now, just wondering if I need to pick up another male, or if I would be able to breed my male to both females in one season. (assuming the male is up for the task)

Thanks in advance!

I havent had much luck with using a male 2 times in a single season..... your best bet is to use your male each year and alternate your females giving them a year off in between.... this year I bred a female again that I bred last season and I only got half of what I produced last year,,,,,

It's always better to leave your male in as long as possible.... I leave mine in until the female rejects him or ovulates.... last season that was 3 months... no slugs... this season I pulled him early and I had alot of slugs
