This is my 2nd attempt at incubating corn snake eggs. Last year I had 2 clutches of 15 eggs each an only 1 hatched. Its going on 9 weeks since my female laid a clutch of 17 eggs. I've had them in a homemade incubator an the temps have been in the high 70's to low 80's most of the time. Wondering when these things will hatch? They look good. During the whole 9 weeks they have been big, round, stiff like, no mold or smell at all. They are just setting there. Sure hope they are good an hatch soon. This waiting is getting tough.

Also my female is gonna lay a 2nd clutch. What is best way to "let them go" if I don't want to incubate them? I've heard just put them in the freezer.

Thanks for reading.

The eggs should hatch any day now...they can hatch anywhere from 55 to 80 days.
As far as the second clutch goes, isn't there anyone you could give them to?
Check around, see if anyone in your area may want to incubate and hatch them.
Otherwise just don't incubate them.

Oh, Thanks! That's a good idea about letting someone else incubate them. Didn't think of that.

If you can't find anyone, just stick the eggs in the freezer.

Eggs usually take 60 days (or around that) when incubated at a steady temperature of 82-84 degrees. They take longer than that if incubated at lower temperatures or at fluctuating temperatures. So you make have to wait 70 or more days from the time the eggs were deposited.
