You can see the sunken in eye in my female green crested. I recently aquired her from a pet shop ive been working at for over a year, and when we got her in she didn't have the problem, But in the matter of a couple months it slowly started to recede into her skull. She is eating fine, But what im worrying about is when she breeds. Do you think it is genetic? THanks again-----

All four of your crested eyelash geckos are very beautiful! I'm sorry that I can't help you on the green gecko eye. I'm not sure why it is like that. But they are pretty.

If it was genetic she would most likely have been born with the problem. It is prob something bacterial, I can’t say for sure with that pic, except that you need to bring her to a vet so it can be taken care of. Best of Luck.

I dont know if you knew this from the pics caption, but i forgot to say she is over a year and a half old and her eye started to shrink starting at the age of about a month. And was totally sunk in, in about 3 months. SO do you still think i should take her to the vet for a check up?
thanks 4 the tips-----

Oh okay! I thought this was a recent problem and was still continuing. If she did in fact have the infection when she was younger and since has healed over, then no worries, it is just some ugly scaring. Best of Luck.

Maybe you should stop and ask yourself, "If my eye looked like that would i go to the doctor?"

Well sorry GREENTEA if I offended you, Im not neglecting this animal, i was just wondering if it was really necessary to pay to get this animal checked up for he has been like this for over a year, and has shown no other sign of being unhealthy. But as it turns out i found out that it was probably caused by a bacterial infection that happened as a hatchling, when it was not in my care, and it has been healed for the past year. And it doesn't seem to pose any health risks in the future. In case you cared.

yes i did care.
sorry i wasnt aware that the problem had occured a year ago. i was under the impression that this was something that had developed over the past couple of months. i appologise for being harsh about it, and its good to know that your gecko's alright.

Well thank you, I understand how you could have thought that it had developed recently, I guess i should have been a little more in depth when i posted my message. but he was seen by a reptile vet months ago and is doing great. Thanks for the concern
