Striped Het Super Stripe

amcroyals Jul 22, 2011 02:46 AM

Raw pic....seconds old.... Another joint project with Doug Ferrin we are pretty stoked! We will try to get some more pics when they are all out... Our Het Super Stripes have all had a broken dorsal stripe but this one tops them all. All 4 of the Super Stripes we produced have complete stripes.... This is our first year making them so time will tell but the striped theme has us smiling... enjoy!

One of our Super Stripes

Hi Again Alan,

Beautiful babes!! Are you holding any of your striped specters back to breed to each other? Neat to see what they would do when you add the stripes in. My specter doesn't have any striping.

Or have you heard if there is a Super Specter? Just curious and I only have one male so getting a girl up to size would be at least 2-3 years for me. : ). Thank you for sharing, Paige

Definately hold backs!

Breeding clutchmates together..... I really try not to, so probably not. Selectively breeding to other striped individual Morphs and combos....yes!

Super Specter? I think that's a great question! I've been waiting to hear "if" they exists for a while now! I'm sure we will find out someday....

Alan,
I thought it was okay to breed baby to the mom or dad? Not a clutch together but to the parent. Is that a no-no?

How many eggs did you get in your mojave/specter clutch? I am just hoping you have some nice odds. : ). Also can't wait to see what they look like!! I put my specter with my mojave but haven't seen any signs of ovulation.

Thanks for all the pics and info, Paige
