You know, I don't think my wife ever did name her. We've had her ~6 months but I'm not sure of her actual age. I enjoy all types of reptiles but my wife was deathly afraid of snakes when we met. She worked on handling with a few corns and when we went to this show I took her around and had her pick out a few that she liked the look of. This was one of the ones that she decided on. My thought was that if she started out liking the way something looked she would be more inclined to handle/interact with it. It's worked out really well. This snake is very workable and my wife has become comfortable enough to handle my male RTB. Win-win.

Our boa seems to have very little patterning as compared to various pictures that I've seen on the forum and in the classified ads. Would there be a particular reason why? I don't know a locale or anything like that for her, she was purchased at a show and not much info was offered. I'll try to get more of a full body picture to explain. When I look at her I think of an olive python with some light rings on it's back. That's just me though.

All of these are with flash.

Her pattern just seems very reduced compared to the other snakes I've seen. I didn't know if that was to be expected as a natural variation or perhaps that was a trait of a specific locale or something. We like her and I'm a nerd so I always like knowing those little useless trivia facts about my critters.

Hey I love your crb pics and I definitely love seeing people that keep other species of rainbow boas besides just Brazilian rainbow boas (though I am still a little bit more than partial to my brbs lol)

The reduced pattern you are asking about is just what colombian rainbow boas do, they start their lives with a very noticeable pattern and contrast similar to a brb and as they mature they lose their pattern and end up mainly patternless with slight remaining bits of their pattern like you're seeing !! So sorry to break it to you, no new morph, but still an AWESOME and very beautiful rainbow boa, no doubt!

No heartbreak on my part that I didn't discover a new morph LOL. If that's normal and she's healthy then I'm happy. My wife is very partial to the reduced pattern so it works out very well.
