Couple of new rippers.

terryd Jul 22, 2011 09:01 PM

While I have been very busy this spring and summer, I did find the time to pair a few of my adults to see what we could come up w/ for neonates. Here are a few.

This is the first year I've paired my Pennington Co. SD. multistrata together and I got three big eggs from them, and hence three big multistrata neonates. If you're a ring counter, and I am, this one has 31 red body rings from head to vent. Purty high for a Pale milk snake.

.

Next up a few Cherry Co. NE multistrata. These nates came from a wild caught pair that I've never bred before.

I really like the look of this classic looking NE. milk.

Sibling to the above milk.

Another Cherry Co. from Hardwick's Blazing line of Cherry Co. Pales. This little ripper hatched out today, so don't be to hard on her, she still needs to peel off her first shed.

I can't tell you all how happy I am with her.

I also got 6 hypo syspila but didn't have time to photo them yet, and besides they still need to shed too.
Also today one of my Rubber boa dropped 4 neonate too. Here is one of them. Not quite the same looking as a milk, but stand on their own as an interesting snake.. -Dell

Dell, congrats on all those screamers my friend!! I am partial to the lower band counts and high white background. However, I would be glad to take the high band count animal off your hands! I am hoping my rubber boa is gravid too, must be strange not having to place eggs in the incubator huh? There is something about waiting for those eggs to hatch that makes me feel like a little kid again. Post pics of those hypos when they shed my man!

Thanks Joe, I'm partial to high white in most cases too, but a busy band count on zonata, multistrata and gentilis is always a nice thing to see.
I'll be sure to post photos in a few weeks when I have more time. Peace buddy.

Very nice. I really like the Cherry Countys.

Of course since I also keep rubber boas, I like that pic also. I was hoping to get some babies out of my pair this year, but it doesn't look like it. Maybe next year.

you'd done a post on strippers! Must have been the beer talking. Ha ha ha! Just kidding, buddy. Nice looking set of neonates! There are some serious lookers in that group, man. Wow! I'll take those Cherry County animals... all of 'em. (only half joking, there).

All of mine are out and almost all have shed, so it's about time to do a little neonate photo shoot at my place, too.
