Please I Need Help!

My crested hasnt eaten anything on his own for over a week. He is very skinny, his ribs stand out clearly and he has a fold of skin on one side. I currently am housing him in a 20gallon tall. Do you think he is not eating the crickets I put in his cage because he cant find them? I also am trying to feed him baby food every night. he hasnt touched it. The only way I have gotten him to eat is putting baby food on his nose which he licks off. I have tried to get him to lick it off my finger but he move his head away every time I put it in front of him. Another food that he didnt eat was the T-Rex diet. I also noticed that he never is awake. Ive checked on him at 12:00 at night and he is sleeping. Is this normal? Can anyone give me any suggestions about what or how to feed my gecko?

Try moving your crestie to a smaller enclosure, such as a critter keepper. Use paper towel substrate, have the foilage not touching the ground (so the crix cant hide in it) and then throw some dusted crickets in there. Make sure that there is no way the crix can get out.

Good Luck and keep us updated!!! :D

Do this if your crestie is a baby, a critter keeper would be too small for a adult. Other than that, use the same methods described in the previous post.

Check your temps ... not too hot or cold. They can be stressed out if the temps aren't right!

As you mentioned already he is very skinny, you need to get food in him fast. If the only way he will eat is by putting babyfood on his nose, then fed him that way. You have to make sure he doesn't starve. Also, check the humidity as well as the temperature, that may be causing problems as well. Take a fecal to the vet to rule out parasites.

I hope he pulls through.
