Mites!!!!

girthegreat Jul 23, 2011 02:09 AM

So I think my snake may have mites. I have a 4 year old Anery and had a 4 month old common. The 4 month died and i noticed a bug in his water, the 4 year old i noticed a bug and took him out let him soak in a tank with some fresh clean water (he now hates me). I cleaned his cage and had his dish vine and the deco piece in his cage soak in flea and tick bath (if it works for dogs it works for inanimate objects) did I do the right thing? is there any advice for getting rid of mites?

Thanks for reading and please help
Bobby

if you put the stuff soaked in flea medicine back in the tank with the snake it will probably kill the snake. way too strong. Hell, dog flea and tick medicine can kill kittens.
you need to throw those decorations out and get rid-a-mite and follow instructions on the can.
anything you used the flea and tick medicine on needs to go. Clean the cage thoroughly, add new substrate and new decorations all after treating with rid-a-mite
