baby bulls 2011

john dhont Jul 23, 2011 08:33 AM

Last year I hatched normals, whitesided, snow and albino's from what I thought to be a triple het x triple het pairing.
This year I got the same morphs out of it plus what I think to be a hypo.
Last year a remarked that some albino's where light in color while other were more vivid.
So maybe some of the albino's are not albino but sunglow.
Maybe some of you can tell me what they think about it?
Enough talking, here some pics.

albino or should I call those sunglow?

whitesided

normal

snow, I have a another one that still needs to shed and it looks somehow purple but maybe thats because it still did not shed. Who knows, maybe a lavender snow?

This looks like a hypo to me

hypo together with a normal to compare

Wow John. Those are stunning. I love the white sided animal, but all of them are real lookers. Thanks for posting those treats!

Thx Jason!
I will not sell the hypo looking animal to see how the color will change.
I striped albino is a very tiny baby that realy looks great.
Both swallowed their first mice down last weekend.

Beautiful babies! Certainly a lot of variation in this one clutch. My favorite is the first one, although I would be happy to have any of them in my pit collection.

I have Kingsville Red x Stillwater Hypo eggs due to hatch in August; expect they will all look just like the parents.

Thx Bob!
The first one is nice indeed.
I want to keep the reddest of my albino/sunglow? males this year to pair it up later with one of my patternles female (patternless ghost or patternless Kingsvile red) in the future, with the hope to produce patterless albino in a few generations.

Simply amazing animals there! My fave is the normal, hypo, and the ghost/hypo white sided.

Very nice!

Congratulations once again, John. I like the natural and hypoish looking ones most of all. (Sorry guys. I'm kind of done with the whole morph thing lately.) But they all look great for what they are.

Nice One John,

Another great clutch of Belgian pituophis and about the best quality in Europe right now imo.

Thx mate!
I have to thank Sven Faes (qualitycolubrid) for the results I got from this pairing, as he is the breeder of the parents.
I only started my Pit collection 2 years ago, as you know mate, so there is still a long way to go.
But I'm difficult what concerns choosing my animals, I always look after the nicest animals.
I have some good friends on who I can count for that.

You know Al, I still feel sad for lossing that great looking McGurty annectans. I've never seen a nice example as the one I had.

Tanguy6 Jul 25, 2011 01:54 PM

Nice clutch John !
U only got 6 baby's from your clutch ?
Congrats !

john dhont Jul 26, 2011 03:30 AM

No Tanguy, I got 13 babies out of 15 eggs.
One died because of fungus and 1 albino was dead in the egg.
You could see that it had tried to cut the eggshell but at a place where it was attached to another egg, so it could not get out.
Will call you one of the coming days.
