One white eye help

deviney1 Jul 24, 2011 01:25 PM

Hey Yall... I just picked up a corn with set up off of c list. I noticed that the snake had one white eye and one red eye. Sunshine Corn... It looks like an albinos eye when it is shedding. They stated that it has been that way as long as they can remember. They assured me before I got there that everything was great and it was healthy. It is a great active healthy looking snake. A little underfed but I can fix that. I would have turned it down but the set up it came with alone was worth more than double what they were asking for everything.

Should I to try putting him in a box with some moss and try to rub it off?

If left untreated, what will happen if this is an infection?

If it has been untreated for as long as they say it has... One year, is there any hope of treating it at all if removing it doesn't work?

I gave her two small live mice and she was dead on the nose with both. She doesn't seem to be blind in that eye.

is it retained eye caps or is it a cloudy eye?
I have a snake that is blind in one eye...the eye is white and cloudy...but it is not eye caps, so don't try to remove something that doesn't need to be removed.
can you post a pic?

I'm not sure what it is... I would think if it were something that could come off it would have by now. I just got her last night and feed her two mice today... Between the ride home, the probe and the mice she needs to rest.

I will post a pic in a couple days but right now she needs the rest.

Thanks for getting back if you could post a pic of yours too I would really appreciate that!
