Finally found my little guy.

jdmjames Jul 25, 2011 11:09 PM

After a week of thorough searching and setting traps I found my escapee. Under a bed inbetween bags and boxes! We heard him and searched with no luck but tonight I found fresh poop so I knew he was in the ron and he was! In shed and very active surprisingly since it's about 70 inside my house. I so'm happy. Lol. here's the escape artist.

That`s great! I hope you`ll fit a strong lock of the enclosure so it doesn`t happen again (if you haven`t already)....

I don't know what you are using for a cage but if the doors are made of wood you can get one of those hasps and a decent lock for it for less than $15 at one of the big box lumber stores.
I've kept locks on most of my cages indoors with larger more dangerous herps and on all of my outdoor cages for years. I've done it not because I worry about them getting out I do it so some idiot doesn't get in and cause an escape or worse yet get injured and the try and sue me for their stupidity.
Locks aren't foolproof but they do help with giving me a lot of piece of mind.

Oh yeah btw congrats on finding your monitor safe and sound, I was pretty sure you would. Extra congrats on not having to tear out a wall to get to him, (been there done that lol.). Incidents like that make that $15 seem quite cheap.

Thanks I think we are thinking the same thing, like a hinge for fences? And yeah I am happy I didn't have to break the wall. Even though for a second I almost took a cabinet off my bathroom wall. But I tried the heated tupperware and mouse trick for a few days instead, thankfully lol.
