I love hybrids. The genetics, the increased vigor, are fascinating to me. That the animals are even compatible tends to set genetics on its head. I grew up learning that a "species" was an animal that could only produce viable offspring with members of its own group. Delightfully over-simplified and inaccurate, I chuckle at this definition when I see hybrids.
