I found this on Lee Abbott's website, regarding feeding hatchling alternas and mountain kings. A couple of helpful ideas I think.

So I guess I will not worry just yet about my alternas since they are not even 3 weeks old yet.

Very good tips indeed! I always had great success with Brain feeding, and tease feeding the ones that wouldn't eat the brained pinks. This year I will try scenting with Skink, and Gecko too as Lee Sugests. i know my stubborn Corns are attacking pinks scented with Skink. Good luck!

Yes, it is reassuring to note that the alterna and mt kings have a bigger yolk reserve. I am wondering if all the odd things we do to try to get them to eat, and then they finally do eat, and we ascribe that to the last weird method we employed, instead of realizing maybe the snake just finally got hungry.

Yeah I wonder too. I think I will quit trying so hard and just give them time. Maybe offer food just a couple times a week.
