Smoke Hypos

ROC Jul 26, 2011 10:51 PM

Hey everyone,

Wanted to ask about smoke hypos. I saw one on the classifieds from Charles recently and that's the only thing I've ever seen or heard about that mutation. Doesn't anyone mind giving me some insights?

Pics (animal and belly) would be awesome too.

Thanks everyone!

Ross

Ross,

The morph is still very rare. That female just so happens to be on her way to my house right now. Once I get her all set-up I will take pictures of her.

I think the morph has a lot of combo potential.

Is it just a simple recessive? Or is there more to it, like expressing only when combined with albino, etc? I thought the ad kind of mentioned something like that.
Thanks,
Ross

It's a simple recessive morph. The name Smoke Hypo is kind of confusing. I've had other people ask if it was a double visual.

What Charles was talking about in the ad is that the gene puts up a fight with albino and will express itself in the double visual Smoke Albino.

I'm excited to get it in all kinds of stuff. I think it opens all kinds of cool combo doors.

The smoke hypo is a simple recessive gene.

Here's a picture of a smoke hypo.

belly:

comparison belly pic:

and when combined with an albino and get a double homo you get a smolder.

hope that helps.
