Question about my bumblebees???

SerpentSyndicate Jul 27, 2011 10:56 AM

My partner and I bred our bumblebee male to a normal female. We got four eggs and all eggs hatched out. We got one pastel which is to the left and one spider to the right. Two bumblebees hatched out as well. My question is that I'm used to seeing yellow in them and ours have very little to none. Almost looks like killerbees but no pastel to pastel in pairing. They have shed and my partner says that the female bee looks white with black stripes resembling a zebra(top right bee). Though the white isn't as white like that of a piebald. It just doesn't look like there is yellow there. So I was wondering if this is normal and the yellow shows up later because all the 2011 offspring that I have seen has that dirty yellow look to them.
