Eve, finally found the picture of my Emerald's mate

buddy1900 Sep 30, 2003 08:10 PM

Took a while but I finally hunted down the photo of my Emerald swift with his mate. I took this picture 5 years ago. Sadly, we lost Marge about 6 months later. But Homer is still with us and doing great! Wanted to share the picture. Looks like they're kissing.

I was wondering how long it takes for the female to give birth, My female Suess is quite large.
I love your pic and thank you for remembering our conversation. Homer is quite chunky in that pic just like Simpson, LOL And he and Marge do seem to be kissing, or sharing some sort of private time, hehehehhe. Shame she passed away. My Grinch's female mate passed away during the winter last year. I just bought Suess for him awhile ago. They seem very content now. When she gives birth, and all goes well, maybe Homer would want a new mate, HUNH????? LOL Great pic, thank ya kindly sir ! Eve

Oh gee, Homer is getting pretty old for a mate. I think he's like 150 in lizard years. lol. Sorry to hear you lost your female too. Glad you got another one. We'll be at the expo again and who knows. Probably more geared toward finding Bubba a mate at this time. He's only 1. Lots of time left!
