Wanna See Something Crazy??

Jon R Jul 28, 2011 07:48 PM

I walked pass a deli containing a pair of 1 month old hogs in the snake room today and almost died laughing at what I saw. The male was courting her like an old pro!! Anyone ever seen this behavior in a 1 month old before??

Hey Jon,
cool vid man... I have not seen this behavior in hogs but I have seen it in other species including gaboons...

Monitor lizards also do this frequently... In my experience, it is mock courting/breeding... Reptiles use this display to assert donimance... The sex does not even matter... It can be male on male, male on female, female on female, and even female on female...

I am not suprized to see this especially being that they are in such close proximity...

Great video opportunity Jon...

Jon, keep him man for sure haha. It annoys me (and I'm sure others) to see this and then look in our bins of 3 year old breeder males who don't even look twice at females HAHAHA!! Anyways do you have any new news on the Axanthic Kennerlyi??
