I have a super pastel male that was made using a Graziani and a Lemon. What morph would be the best one to breed him to in order to tell the difference between the two lines in the offspring?

Well if you have a graziani/lemon mix, i am not real sure
you are going to be able to breed it to any morph and actually
see if both pastel lines separate.

Hypothetically speaking if this can happen, you will see that the lemons are way more bright and vibrant than the graziani pastels.

Just my .02 cents.

Of course the two lines will seperate, they are on opposite sides of the DNA helix. So when the helix splits to make sperm the haploid cells will carry either Graziani or Lemon pastel.
Will you be able to tell them apart? I don't know. You could try breeding to something with reduced pattern like a spider, woma or pin to see if you can visually tell them apart. If not, I guess it doesn't really matter...

then it won't matter???

....I say you can't tell pastels from pastels if you have already mixed them and or added 6 other colors to them...

people think they can...

well...people see it in THEIR collections all the time...but if YOU hacth anything different they cannot see a thing...

right?...

and I didn;t read all the toher stuff yet....pastels are pastel...and I still don't see what a granite is at all.....

how's that ???

I agree, pastel gene are pastel, no matter the line.
Just like lesser and butter or cinnamon and black pastel.

But I would put it into burmese why not a GTP, I think the yellow and green should make good stuff.

breed it to a few normals females, you should see what happen. Darker and more golden ones, would help you compare.

I am sure that you won't know what is what.
But you will definately get good loooking pastel and less good looking pastel. But that won't be due to the lemon or the grazianni, more to the rest of the genotypes of the parents.

Lemon pastel are good looking normals pastel gene in them while the grazianni were more standard normals pastel gene in them. The pastel gene itself were the same.

Just like butter and lesser.
