Your are killing me John!! I see a trade coming in our future!

Joe

Sure Joe.......Thanks for the kind words.....

The parents to the three pictured above......
The Yellow Leonis male is called 4Eyes due to the "skull" pattern on his head.....The Orange Leonis female is a first generation from wild stock......F1 if both parents were, but everyone is calling the line F1, F2 Thayeri.....anyway that is for another thread....LOL

Here's the P's......

I love the look of the skull on 4eyes. Parents are awesome and so are the offspring. Can't wait to see what everyone gets this year.

I agree, 4eyes rocks!!!!

>>I agree, 4eyes rocks!!!!

Thanks guys....He is a finicky animal....he only likes rat fuzzies and the occasional small mouse.....LOL

He has terrific color too.....Not much ontogenetic speckling and that great skull head ornamentation.......

Wow John...some of these color variations I haven't seen before for Thayers, absolutely crushing! Especially the first picture and check out the head pattern too. I haven't chimed in with your other posts of babies hatching out but I've seen them and they are stunning. I am certain you are real happy with the 'Mexture' of the results lol!

I agree with one of your posts earlier that the Mex look real nice with more red. Wish I could keep more snakes because looking at your Mex Mex or Thayers makes me want to break my rule!!

Thanks Tony......

I am happy with the results, but I did get some slugs this year that irked me.....I will adjust some things and try again.....
As for mex mex.......
I do enjoy the granites, hypo-Es and black phase Mex Mex, but a good ole fashioned red head is stunning.....imho......

Thayeri have always been my favorite......Nothing like not knowing what's going to hatch with no morphs involved.......

Right you are John, which is why there are so many people working on Thayeri. I wonder how many other patterns and colors come out in the next decade or two! LOL better yet, maybe so many variations like the corns!

Oh no you didn't.....LMAO.....
Thayeri have only one, solitary single morph (melanistic).....Much unlike those confusing corn snakes with 100s of morphs........

But seriously.....With the limited originating stock there are bound to be some "different" looks from Thayeri......Line breeding and finding hidden genes without outcrossing will definitely create something new......

I still like the ole classic thayeri the most....buckskin with lots of speckling.......I guess because they were the first ones I ever saw......
