lafferman Sep 30, 2003 09:15 PM

i want my small leos avg 13grams to eat out of a mealworm bowl. i don't think they can see them in the bowl i have for them could this be the problem. or maybe they don't move enough. they go after the ones that are moving in the tank that i just throw in. should i go back to crickets? thanks for the advice.

well, either crix or feed out of a jar lid or something that they can see over I used to make a container out of a butter bowl and make it like a hide with one entrance and put mealies in it when I used to keep babies in tanks.

What I did is buy some cheap, clear plastic containers, about 3 inches across, and 3/4" high ! They are at most garden stores ! Just bought about 15 of them , because they are only 16 cents each, and havent had once exscapie mealie yet, plus the leos can see the mealies!

Hope I helped,
Nick

Same concept here... I find that petri dishes work very well. You can buy them in bulk online, they are clear and are just about the perfect size.
