hey, i have a 15 month old childrens python and just recently its been excreaing a clear mucus substance and when it does this its whole face puffs up. i have had it for the duration of its life and ive never seen it do this before. i thought it might be cankers (mouth rot) or a respiratory infection, can you please email me at:

Upper respiritory infection probably. Turn the heat up to 94degrees night and day and take it to the vet asap. Baytril might be too dehydrating for such a small python, so you can go to the store and use tylon. You know how to give injections? Get a cotton swab with alcohol and dab the area your going to inject. But dont do what i say, go to a vet and get a professional opinion soon.

Thankyou so much for your help. ive been to tha vet, gave same advice you did, tylon injection every 48 hours. thankyou again.

Ive had to give injections to my adult boa once and its no fun. I think the smaller the snake the more sensitive cause` she never tried to bite me. Keep us updated on the python, and good luck.
